The work Hinter dem Knochen wird gezält – SCHMERZRAUM, shown at the Konrad Fischer gallery in Düsseldorf between December 1983 and January 1984, consisted of a room whose walls were covered in lead plates. It was lit by a simple bulb, next to which two silver rings had been placed. Peter Kolb's camera slowly and silently evolves around the installation, providing a description of it that underlines its anxiety-inducing potential.
